Biomass generator

According to the definition of the International Energy Agency (IEA), biomass refers to various organisms formed through photosynthesis, including all animals, plants and microorganisms. Biomass energy is the energy form of solar energy stored in biomass in the form of chemical energy. It has always been one of the important energy sources for human survival. It is the fourth largest energy source after coal, oil, and natural gas. An important position in the system
Among various renewable energy sources, nuclear energy and large hydropower have potential ecological and environmental risks, and regional resources such as wind energy and geothermal energy are restricted, and vigorous development has been restricted and questioned. However, biomass energy is ubiquitous, abundant, and Renewability and other characteristics are recognized by people. The uniqueness of biomass is not only that it can store solar energy, it is also a renewable carbon source that can be converted into conventional solid, liquid and gaseous fuels. Energy such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas is essentially converted from biomass energy. of.
Biomass refers to various organisms produced through photosynthesis using the atmosphere, water, land, etc., that is, all living organic substances that can grow are generally called biomass.

Features: Renewability. Low pollution. Widely distributed. Abundant resources. Carbon neutral.
Biomass includes plants, animals and microorganisms.
The biomass used by bio-generators includes all plants, microorganisms, and animals that feed on plants and microorganisms and their production waste. Representative biomass such as crops, crop waste, wood, wood waste and animal manure. Narrow concept: Biomass mainly refers to the shells other than grains and fruits in the agricultural and forestry production process, straws, trees and other lignocellulose (referred to as lignin), leftovers from agricultural products processing industries, and seed shells produced by food and oil processing enterprises , And the country and shell, agricultural and forestry waste and livestock manure and waste in the production process of animal husbandry.
Biomass energy is an important part of renewable energy. The efficient development and utilization of biomass energy will play a very active role in solving energy and ecological environmental problems. Since the 1970s, all countries in the world, especially economically developed countries, have We attach great importance to this, actively carry out research on biomass energy application technology, and have obtained many research results to reach the scale of industrial application. This article outlines the progress of research and development at home and abroad, involving biomass energy solidification, liquefaction, gasification and direct combustion Research technology
Biomass includes organic matter produced by plants through photosynthesis (such as plants, animals and their excrement), garbage, and organic wastewater. Biomass energy comes from the sun, so biomass energy is a kind of solar energy. Biomass is the most important absorber and storage of solar energy. Biomass can accumulate solar energy through photosynthesis and store it in organic matter. This energy is the source and foundation of energy needed for human development.
Biomass is the most widely existing substance on the earth. It includes all animals, plants and microorganisms, as well as many organic substances derived, excreted and metabolized from these living substances. All kinds of biomass have certain energy. Using biomass as a carrier, the energy produced by biomass is biomass energy. Biomass energy is a form of energy stored in organisms in the form of chemical energy from solar energy, directly or indirectly derived from photosynthesis of plants. The energy consumed by plants on the earth for photosynthesis accounts for 0.2% of the total radiation irradiated by the sun to the earth. Although this ratio is small, the absolute value is amazing: the solar energy converted through photosynthesis is 40 times the current total human energy consumption. It can be seen that biomass energy is a huge energy source. The main sources of biomass energy are firewood, wood waste, agricultural straw, livestock manure, sugar crop waste, municipal waste and sewage, aquatic plants, etc.
Raw materials used by biomass generators-an inexhaustible treasure house of resources
We know that green plants use chlorophyll to convert CO2 and H2O into glucose through photosynthesis, and store light energy in it, and then further polymerize glucose into starch, cellulose, hemicellulose lignin and other substances that constitute the plant itself. The so-called biomass can be understood as the general term for all biological organisms produced by photosynthesis, including plants, crops, forest products, marine products (various seaweeds) and municipal waste (paper, natural fibers), etc. It is estimated that lignin and cellulose, the main components of plant biomass, are regenerated at a rate of about 164 billion tons per year, which is equivalent to 15-20 times the oil output in terms of energy conversion. If these resources are used well, human beings are equivalent to having an inexhaustible treasure house of resources. Moreover, the biomass is derived from CO2 in the air, and CO2 is generated after combustion, so the CO2 content in the air will not increase. CO2 is the most important greenhouse effect gas (Greenhouse Effect Gas). It contributes 26% of the total greenhouse effect and contributes about 65% to the greenhouse effect caused by various gases in the atmosphere except water vapor. In view of the fact that using biomass as an energy source does not increase the CO2 content in the atmosphere, that is, carbon neutral, biomass is cleaner than mineral energy.

Direct combustion power generation is the direct combustion of biomass in a boiler to produce steam to drive steam turbines and generators to generate electricity. The key technologies of biomass direct combustion for power generation include biomass raw material pretreatment, boiler anticorrosion, boiler raw material applicability and fuel efficiency, steam turbine efficiency, etc.
Biomass can also be mixed with coal as a fuel for power generation, which is called biomass mixed combustion power generation technology. There are two main ways of mixed combustion. One is that biomass is directly mixed with coal and then put into combustion. This method requires high fuel processing and combustion equipment, and not all coal-fired power plants can use it; the other is the mixed combustion of gas and coal produced by biomass gasification. This kind of mixed combustion system burns, and the steam produced is sent to the steam turbine generator set.

Biomass gasification power generation technology means that biomass is converted into gas fuel in a gasifier, and after purification, it is directly burned in a gas engine to generate electricity or directly into a fuel cell to generate electricity. One of the key technologies of gasification power generation is gas purification. The gasified gas contains certain impurities, including ash, coke, and tar. The impurities need to be removed through a purification system to ensure the normal operation of power generation equipment.
Biogas power generation is a biogas utilization technology that has emerged with the continuous development of comprehensive biogas utilization technology. Its main principle is to use biogas produced by anaerobic fermentation of a large amount of organic waste in industry, agriculture or urban life to drive generator sets to generate electricity. The equipment used for biogas power generation is mainly an internal combustion engine, which is generally transformed from a diesel unit or a natural gas unit.
Waste-to-energy includes waste incineration power generation and waste gasification power generation. It not only solves the problem of waste disposal, but also recycles the energy in the waste and saves resources. Waste incineration power generation uses the heat released by the combustion of waste in an incineration boiler to remove water. The superheated steam is obtained by heating, and the steam turbine drives the generator to generate electricity. Waste incineration technology mainly includes layered combustion technology, fluidized bed combustion technology, rotary combustion technology, etc. The developed gasification melting incineration technology includes two processes: the gasification of garbage at a temperature of 450°~640° and the melting and combustion of carbon-containing ash above 1300°C. The garbage is treated thoroughly, the process is clean, and some resources can be recovered , Considered the most promising waste-to-energy technology
